Coming to AMAC

Support People

You are welcome to bring a support person with you to keep you company throughout the day. We request you restrict this to one person, as the clinic is small, and we must abide by safety regulations. Don’t worry if you have to attend alone, AMAC staff provide support to all women.

Children

Please arrange childcare for the full day. Please do not bring babies and children. It is a long day and even the best-behaved children become bored and irritable, this affects the quality of rest and quiet you and other patients need.

Cell Phones

For the privacy of yourself and others the use of camera phones is prohibited inside the building; all other cell phones must be switched to silent mode. Local telephone calls can be made at no cost from reception.

Service Fee

The standard fee for a medical or surgical termination is $1,000 for New Zealand residents, or $1,150 for non-residents. This does not include post procedure treatment, admission to hospital, scans, blood tests and interpreters. (For further information or to download a schedule of fees, see AMAC fees)

Directions to AMAC

From Auckland: We are situated at the city end of Dominion Rd Mt. Eden, directly opposite Eden Quarter shopping complex.

From South: Exit the southern motorway at Greenlane, turning left. Continue on this road, passing by Greenlane Hospital and Alexandra Park. After passing St. Andrews Rd & Mt. Eden Rd, both on the right, the road becomes Balmoral Rd and meets Dominion Rd. Turn right and follow Dominion Road to the Valley Road shopping centre.  AMAC is number 283 Dominion Road (see map below).

Protestors outside the front entrance

This is extremely rare but can occur at random. If you have any concerns, use the rear door intercom system in the car park for immediate assistance. 

Cancellation of Appointments

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment or no longer require it, we would appreciate 24 hours notice of cancellation. This allows others the opportunity to use your unwanted appointment.
